1The Old Switcheroo---shame on Amazon!  Dec 22, 2009 By A. Foster
The item that was pictured and described is not what I received from Amazon, and I purchased this watch from Amazon, LLC, not someone else selling their wares through Amazon. I expect better. Apparently, Invicta changed their standards at some point during production of this model, because what is pictured and described is a Model #5058 with a sapphire crystal (which one can see printed clearly on the back of the case when you zoom in on the picture), and it shows that the face reads "water resistant 50 meters." The watch I received, besides being in an inexplicably worn box with a torn watch cushion, has "flame fusion crystal" printed on the back of the watch, and in another mystifying change, instead of saying "water resistant 50 meters" on the face, it has bright blue letters that say "Angel."

These might not seem like a big deal to some people, but if you know watches, or even if you just read Amazon's own watch education, you know that sapphire crystals are the hardest and most desireable. The sapphire crystal was a key factor in my decision to buy this watch. No one even knows what "flame fusion" means because Invicta won't tell, and the very fact of their secrecy about it makes one deeply suspicious. As for "Angel" being printed on the face, someone else might find this charming, but I find it somehow very cheesy, particularly since "Angel" is not even part of the model name or any other such thing. Invicta has other watches called Angels, but since when is the 5058 an Angel? Where does it say that anywhere? And what was the point of this production change? It makes me wonder what else is different inside the watch. And why would I care? Because I want to receive what I was offered and paid for, and I expect Amazon to be meticulous about that, particularly when this was something sent out under their name. And what's the deal with the beat-up box? This was supposed to be a new watch, not a refurbished or used model. Why is the watch cushion torn and the interior of the box dingy as though it had been handled by dirty fingers? I'm very disappointed.

4Great Watch  Dec 22, 2008 By H. Gibbs
I bought this watch for myself when it was on sale and was VERY pleased with it as soon as it came in the mail. I wore it for a week before it accumulated some moisture in the face of the watch and I had to send it into Invicta. Even though I ordered it from Amazon, they fixed it for free (I hadn't had it 30 days). I have had an Invicta watch before, and they are reliable, beautiful watches that are made to last a lifetime if you take care of them.

5Nice!!  Nov 30, 2009 By alinadee
I received this watch in the mail today purchased on Black Friday(fast shipping!). It really is a beautiful watch. It also has mother of pearl around the dial which was a nice surprise as i could not see that in the pictures. the diamonds are tiny but i didnt expect them to be anything huge. they add a nice sparkle to the piece. i had originally bought this to use in the hospital setting but i think it may be too nice for that! plus you get the free platinum warranty upgrade from buying with amazon. saved me another $65 since the original tag that is on the watch says $695 and the warranty price goes by the actual retail price of the watch. the band is big, which i expected as its easier to take out links then add them. but i'm pretty sure it will only cost around $10 to get links taken out by a jeweler. the face of the watch is bigger, but not huge which i like!! easier for me to count heartrates! overall, a steal for this watch!!!

5Perfect for Everyday  Feb 02, 2009 By Bets "betsjohn2"
This is a perfect everyday watch. It is a little large, but I prefer watches this size.

4nice looking time piece for the money  Dec 22, 2008 By Simon Mall Gift Card "zvanwest"
I purchased this watch for my wife for christmas. I'm excited to see her reaction. I was impressed with the large discount, the msrp was $695 and I only paid $89. The quality looks very good although the diamonds are almost nonexistent. I just hope the over all mechanical quallity is as good as the appearance.
